WAR vs BLM

As I level warrior I've really started to notice how differently a DD looks at the world then a BLM. Most people seem to think that BLM is all about selling your soul for power and mixing frog guts with the eyes of living witches to make the ultimate spell, which don't get me wrong we do that too. It's just we're not by default evil. We're not evil, we're masters.

The point of blm is control, we control the elements to do damage. We force mobs to sleep until we're ready to deal with them. We use everything from gravity to lightning to manipulate our opponents to do what we want them to do. And if all else fails we hit them with a stick. Regardless of the length of battle we continually weight any number of different options and pick the one that has the highest chance of success.

Warrior is all about hitting things with large, heavy, sharp objects, sounds fun. They have a lot more survivability then blm does in the fact that they can take much more damage and can deal much more damage without resting for mp constantly. But they don't have options, they can cast some spells depending on their sub that negates damage and proper usage of Defender/Aggressor/Berserk/Retaliation can change the outcome of a battle easily. But their options quickly narrow down to 1. Hit the Mob, 2. Don't hit the mob. I enjoy War in parties, it's very relaxing and it's always fun to see big numbers, but when it comes to events where I'm trying to get something done I get a feeling of helplessness.

When a mob looks at you on blm it's simple, put him to sleep, bind him, gravity and run or wait for your lackeys to take him off you. On war it's much more simple, keep hitting him and hope he dies before you. Eh I guess all I'm trying to say is war is fun, but the lack of options is downright scary to me. You accentually have to trust your group members to keep you healed, debuff the mob, and keep any extra mobs out of commission until you're ready to kill it. And anyone who's read more then two posts here should know how I stand on trusting people.
