Missions

As you may or may-not know for the last several months finishing CoP and starting and finishing ZM have become a high priority for me. Why I'm real sure, probably it's an issue of pride, I know so many guys that have joined after me and have had them finished for as long as I can remember.

Just to fill in a little data for those who don't know. I started CoP with the greatest Linkshell ever, SC. I went to 2-5 with them then the whole mess that caused me to quit the game and then on my return to leave SC happened. So from there I went on to do absolutely nothing as far as missions go, I was with more then five groups that had said they where doing missions and either got left behind or the missions never happened to begin with.

As of a month or however long it's been that I've been without a main ls I've been going through a bunch of different ones looking around for any signs of either CoP or ZM. I've seen them, several in fact, I've seen runs and have asked to be included in them. I've lost count of the times where I've been told "sure we're doing it at XX date, be there and we'd be glad to have you" only to spend the day either waiting for it to happen and then not or being left behind again.

Yesterday I was in one of the largest mid game linkshells on my server, mostly because no one was in my others. While I was there I decided to ask about CoP again and got another one of the more common answers, "sure I'll/we'll help if I'm/we're online". Which simply translates to "I'll help, but I won't lead." Which is fine, any offer to help is much appreciated. The problem with that is quite simple, I've never done these missions, how am I supposed to lead a group into some of the most difficult parts of the game without knowing what to do?

Yes I know there are a ton of websites that have guides and information on how to do them, and I've read most of them completely. But reading a guide online and doing it are two very different things, there's always some little thing that the guides leave out that pops out at you when you lest expect it. So leading a group quit honestly scares me, hey I don't even like to lead parties.

A few hours later(after I went and voted and after a decent party) I was in WC(SC lost a lot of players and ended up joining with WC, which was formed by a guy who started in SC) and on an impulse asked MM about the chances of missions happening there. The answer quit honestly surprised me, a definite yes.

So right now I'm looking at two possibilities, first WC comes through again and I do it with them. Second, I take lead and spend the next several months in purgatory getting missions done.

Either way, it's time.
