The Basics #1: Priorities

Important, Urgent
Important, Not Urgent
Not Important, Urgent
Not Important, Not Urgent

Everything we do or don't do fits into one of these four catagories. Is going to work Important, Urgent? Is spending time with your family Important, Not Urgent? Is changing the oil in your car Not Important, Not Urgent? Is your relationship with God Important, Not Urgent? Is going out to see a movie Not Important, Urgent?

The point of the teaching, which I no longer remember where it came from origonaly(ATIA??), is to help us slow down and think about our actions day by day. Are we doing the Not Important, Urgent before the Important, Not Urgent?

Simple stuff, but then again this is one of the Basics so it should be simple. The only thing that I may change or disagree with is the Important, Not Urgent, I'm not sure that catagory egsists in the first place. If something is truely important then I think they are automaticly Uregnt, in other words I think in most people's lives there are a lot of things that should be important that arn't. But, I'm not totaly convinced of that so as for now it stays the way it is.
